Service Description

Ellipse Health Dietitians work closely with other allied healthcare practitioners to support clients who have been injured at work. As Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs), we are able to help facilitate a safe and healthy return to the workforce by supporting you with dietary approaches that have been shown to lower inflammation and improve metabolic health. We break down complex nutrition topics into simple and practical dietary strategies that fit within your capabilities and lifestyle. We aim to empower you with nutrition-related knowledge to improve your confidence and skills in managing your own diet long-term. We will help to advocate for your health and wellbeing, and are happy to communicate with your care team to provide you with high-quality patient-centred dietary services. Expected benefits of working with an Ellipse Health Dietitian: • Lower levels of systemic inflammation and improved physical capacity and mental function • Optimisation of lean body mass (muscles and connective tissue) by supporting appropriate intake of amino acids (proteins) and addressing any existing micronutrient deficiency(ies). • Reduced risk of developing additional health conditions related to dietary inadequacies, such as nutrient deficiencies (e.g., proteins, magnesium, vitamin D, omega-3 fats, B-vitamins) • Reduced risk of developing additional chronic diseases related to metabolic concerns (e.g., type 2 diabetes, the Metabolic Syndrome, overweight/obesity) • Improved confidence, knowledge, and a sense of empowerment regarding the types and quantities of foods to consume for regaining control of health and wellbeing Please note, an Ellipse Health WC Services Agreement must be signed and returned by your WC case manager before your first consultation in order to use this service. Our charges to Work Cover are as follows: $285.00 for 1 hour consultation $250.00 for Nutrition Care Plan (detailed report) $500.00 for supplement program (6-month supply of required supplements) $50.00 for educational resources (includes development of high-quality resources such as meal plans, recipe packs, etc.) We generally recommend organising 8 diet consults over the course of 12 months.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time to avoid being charged the $50.00 cancellation fee.
