Service Description

Ellipse Health Dietitians pride ourselves on using Medical Nutrition Therapy and Evidence-Based Practice to develop personalised dietary interventions that are carefully structured to help you reach and maintain your health goals. If you're ready to regain control of your health for good, this is the service for you! The initial consultation is 60 minutes and will be delivered via Zoom video or phone (your preference). you can choose to work with Thomas Paavola, Niki Mohtat or Megan Hasick. Your Ellipse Health Dietitian uses this opportunity to learn all about you and your health history to understand the bigger picture. They will collect information on your medical history, medications, social circumstances, recent blood work (pathology), anthropometry (body weight, blood pressure), clinical signs and symptoms of nutrient deficiency/excess, full diet history, current eating patterns and nutritional supplement regimen. Ellipse Health Dietitians use every piece of information you provide in this initial assessment to identify your top nutritional priorities. There are your primary nutrition-related problems preventing you from reaching your health goals. For example, we might identify that your current diet is lacking in omega-3 fats, calcium and vitamin B12, while being excessive in carbohydrates and omega-6 fats. Your diet, supplement and educational interventions will be targeted at addressing these nutritional priorities so you can secure long-term success. It is not possible for us to address all your nutritional priorities in the first consult. We generally identify 4-8 nutritional problems and aim to address 1-2 per session. Your diet, supplement and educational interventions will be delivered to you across 3-6 diet review sessions. You can choose whether you would like 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute review sessions. You can book these on an as-needed basis via the 'services' tab on our website OR you might like to book these all at once to secure your favourite time-slot. Do what works for you! You are in the driver's seat. Please note that if you choose to work with Jessica Turton, all consults (initial and review) are $275. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time to avoid being charged the $50.00 cancellation fee.
